While periods are a natural part of our cycle, pain is not. For some women, this news may be shocking. Despite what you may think, periods shouldn’t be painful. Today’s guest, Berrion Berry, is a menstrual health educator who helps women have simple and uncomplicated periods. She helps women find ways to optimize their flow and understand their cycle in a deeper and new way.

    And even if you’re post menopausal, your body still goes through the same cycle of depletion & we need to rest & slow down. Thank you for this, Robin!!!!!

    For myself, one thing that has made a big difference in my periods is stopping the use of disposable pads. When I learned of all the ick that is in tampons and disposable pads, I switched to reusable and it took a few months, but my cramping is none to slight and putting a little fennel essential oil on my tummy takes care of that. I have 1-2 days of heavy flow as compared to 2-3 previously. Plus my periods tend to be a bit shorter. When you know better, you do better. This was a good podcast. I really enjoyed learning what the four phases to the menstrual cycle are because I had no idea!
