Welcome to the first day of the 30 Day Pilates Body Challenge!

More than 17,000 women from all around the world have participated in this challenge; women of all ages, stages of life and fitness levels.

But we all share the same goal of getting stronger and making time to care for our health in the midst of busy our lives.

Day #1

Today’s workout is a leg-focused routine designed to tone and strength your entire lower body.

Enjoy!

30-Day Pilates Body Challenge: day #1

Modification notes:

If you have sensitive knees don’t hesitate to adjust the positions to suit your needs. You may take a wider stance, minimize the external rotation, and keep your bends nice and shallow. It’s okay to do what works for you!

Everyone should focus on making sure you’re knees track right over your toes to maintain proper alignment.

Daily Check-In: snap a photo and show me that you got you completed the first day of the challenge! Post it to Twitter and/or Instagram and use the hashtag #30daypilatesbody. I’ll be cheering you on!

Cheers to a great 30 days. We’re only going to get stronger from here. 🙂

  2. Hey Robin! Completed day one over here on the East coast. Thanks for setting this up! You look amazing at 4 months post partum. See you tomorrow! ?

  3. Hello Robin ! Day one just completed. A lot of fun and efficiency. Thank you and see you tomorrow ! I can’t wait. Take care. Cécile

  4. Thanks, Robin. I am new to your blog but I loved today’s workout! I was just yesterday given a clean bill of health from a broken ankle that has kept me down for the last 7 weeks. It feels good to be active again, and Pilates seems like the perfect exercise routine to help me regain flexibility and strength! Thank you for your positive outlook!

  5. Great work out Robin… My energy is flowing & my legs are burning:) have a great day!!! Day one completed

  6. done for today! legs are happy buzzing.

thanks for sharing all the wonderfulness. it is just what i needed right now.

Day 1 complete. Not too bad. I really have/had no interest in pilates but am trying to build my core post back surgery at a young age. I am that accountability buddy for a friend and surprisingly enjoyed day one. I didn’t think I could do it after losing so much flexibility from my back injury. Thanks! See you tomorrow.

  8. Day one completed!! Feeling great! So good to get the blood following first thing in the morning! Thanks Robin!

  9. Wow, my legs are sore just previewing….or maybe that’s from yesterday’s PiYo workout. Just my luck, I would have legs/lower body with both groups today! Definitely need to not oversleep tomorrow so I can get the 10 minutes in before the kids wake up

  10. Day 1 complete!
Are the other Pilates videos that pop up after the workout is complete your recommendations? Or from You Tube?

    1. Great question!! Those are just from YouTube. I don’t have control over what pops up unfortunately. 🙂

  11. Debbie Borthwick

Finished today’s workout, thanks! My upper arms are on fire and the legs are burning. Feels amazing. 🙂

  12. Day 1, Done and just as Robin said, doing one, makes it easier to do another – I added on one of the glute workouts (Day 4?) and the stretch (Day 2) from the 28 Days of Pilates challenge.

    looking forward to tomorrow’s workout!

    Donna

  13. Day 1 was a great start to my morning! 10 minutes and no equipment-needed made it easy to fit in this morning before having to wake the kiddo up for school. See you tomorrow!

  14. Completed day 1 this morning and I was surprised that the time flew by so quickly! Happy that I’m already looking forward to tomorrow….

  15. Whew! That was great. Efficient and certainly felt the burn. Thank you for this. I’m looking forward to continuing. 🙂

  16. Wow! That was great! A lot in 10 min…my legs are definitely burning! Can’t wait to see what the rest of the month has in store =)

  17. Thanks Robin, I really enjoyed that! I didn’t take a photo for social media as I quickly did this in my Pjs! Had to squeeze it in with morning naps and cleaning and I’m so glad I did! Looking forward to tomorrow 🙂

  18. Day 1 is done…I’m shocked I could do all that since my knees are an issue. So proud of myself. Not one exercise on the floor…pretty cool, actually. Thanks! Looking forward to Day 2!

  19. Day one. A year postpartum. I totally thought I was going to be less sore from this! Ha! This so great, fun, and encouraging! Looking forward to the next 30 days!!

  20. Robin thanks so much! Day 1 complete. I am shaky, my heartbeat has quickened and my balance sucks but it was fun. I realized half way through that I was holding my breath. I have to work on that and getting an Instagram account. You make it fun and I love that you are forgot to count. 🙂 Again, thanks bunches!

  21. Did the beginner 5 part series and Day 1 today. I didn’t even die! 😉 Thanks so much, Robin, for sharing your gift with us. My legs are yelling at me in a good way right now. Who knew 10 minutes could feel so effective! P.S. I’m 17 years postpartum. lol

  22. Day 1? DONE. So easy to follow along. I’ve never done pilates before, and up until now have been anxious to give it a go, but alas, YOU are a great instructor, making it easy to join in. I might be out of shape because boy howdy, THAT was a workout. YEAH. This is just what I need! Thanks for making it 10 minutes and free. What a combo!

  23. Couldn’t go out today because of the crazy snow storm I’m so glad that I signed up for this definitely needed this!!

  24. Day 1 complete! So appreciate the length of the workouts…helps it to not feel overwhelming to fit them in on a daily basis. Looking forward to Day 2!

  25. Feel the burn!! ??

That was an awesome workout and now I know how Bambi’s legs felt! I can’t wait until day 2!

    lol

  26. It’s 11:44pm, I’ve had my workout clothes on all day and finally just got this done. This mommy is stretched thin and having a really hard time finding time for myself. 🙁

  30. Mary Hamilton

I didn’t post yesterday, but did complete day #1 last evening. Legs felt like rubber bands even though I walk. 🙂

  31. I could see the connection to the barre classes I’ve taken. Ouch! Good workout – I look forward to tomorrow 😉

  32. Where did you get the pink tank top in the video? Your outfits are SO cute! I teach almost daily at our local athletic club/gym and I need some fresh outfits.

  33. Hi Robin!

For some reason I didn’t receive day 2 through my email. Is there something I should be doing?

    1. You can view it on the blog if the emails don’t get to your inbox. Spam filters are a pain sometimes. 🙂 You can see it by clicking on “home” at the top of the page. Enjoy!

  34. Two days behind but completed Day One! Joined reluctantly but I think I may actually be able to handle this. That DID burn! Holy moly. I am outta shape!

  35. I am joining a few days late, but I just finished day 1! I have never done any kind of pilates before, and I am so excited to try it out. These seems like a great way to get started.

  36. Two days past workout and still feel it in my Quads! I am curious to repeat Day One at the end to see if it is any better per your suggestion! Started late but trying to keep up with the schedule. Thanks!

  37. Hi, I have only received the one workout? Day 1.. thereafter nothing other than save the date. Is this not a daily challenge?

    1. Hi Melanie!

This challenge was run live in March. We are in the process of making it so that the emails will be available moving forward as well. But for now, feel free to use all of the workouts here on the blog! 🙂

  38. First day done! Perfect for me since I have a 4 month old baby and 3 year old twins-no time for anything. And my body had not bounced back as quickly this time!
    Thanks Robin!

    1. OH Allison! I can only imagine how busy you are!! Remember something is ALWAYS better than nothing. 5 minutes is worth celebrating. You can do this!

  39. Thanks, Robin! The 3 intro videos and Day 1 video were all very well done. You’re very good at walking a beginner (me) through the classes. Looking forward to the next 29 days.

  40. Are all the exercises going to be like this? I don’t think this exercise is right for me. It was just constant leg work with no rest at all. I am horrible at endurance. I don’t think I have the right type of fibers for these sorts of workouts.

    1. Hi Jennifer – The workouts from the 30 Day Pilates Body Challenge have different focuses on areas of the body, some upper body, lower body, full body and stretching. You don’t have to be perfect to be successful in the challenge, we encourage you to listen to your body and take breaks when needed. You may want to try the stretching workout next https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hb6PGBWdVig. We’re cheering for you!
