What To Wear To BlogHER '14

Happy Monday, Beauties!
I ready for this week to begin. I’m heading out to BlogHER ’14 in a few days and couldn’t be more excited. This will be my first official blogging conference and I can’t wait to network, learn and dive more fully into my work.
Arianna Huffington and Guy Kawasaki are two speakers that I am really looking forward to hearing. In fact, I’m reading Thrive right now just to get myself in the mood.
I’m still breastfeeding, so my husband and daughter will be coming along as a little support team. It should be interesting bouncing back and forth from the conference to the hotel to nurse Blake. We’ll see how it all goes. Gotta do what you gotta do right?

We’ll also be staying a few extra days to catch up with some close friends. It’s been a year and a half since I’ve been back to the bay area and I’m missing my friends so much! Clearly, I’m excited to get out there.

Since this is my first blog conference, I contacted my friend Jill Gott Gleason from Good Life to give me some direction in the fashion department and help me with what to wear to BlogHER ’14. (Isn’t she the cutest?)
During the conference I’ll be hanging out with my cousin who does marketing for Skype so the weekend will be a mix of sitting in conference sessions, networking, meeting with brands, dining, and attending parties.
Since I’m a fitness professional/blogger I want to dress in a way that will jive with my brand, without wearing spandex from head to toe. I want to look professional, but not stuffy.
So Jill created a few outfit ideas for me to take the guess workout out of the packing process. She does online and in-person styling for a living so I was thrilled that she offered to help me out.
Here’s what she came up with…

Two: maxi skirtchambray top (tuck in top or tie at your waist to meet the skirt – show off that tiny waist!), earringssandals
I’d say she captureE my style pretty well. I pretty much live in maxi skirts and chambray, and I already own those Old Navy sandals! Now I just need to pull the trigger on some good white jeans.

Each night I’ll be attending parties hosted by sponsors and brands (right now I have The Baby Ladies Baby Shower and the Soybu & Eppa Sangria Sundown Soiree on the calendar).
So Jill created a few nighttime outfits for as well…
I’m loving the comfortable looks she put together. I feel much more prepared for the trip after our session.

If you’re looking for style inspiration check out Jill’s blog, Good Life. She posts practical tips and affordable inspiration on a regular basis.

Have you ever been to a blogging conference? Any tips you’d like to share?
