The Pilates Hundred

The Pilates Hundred is a classic exercise designed to:

  • strengthen the abdominals
  • improve core stabilization
  • increase breath control
  • boost oxygen flow and circulations
  • warm up the body

In today’s video I’ll walk you through it, provide modifications and help you get the most out of the exercise.

    I love the idea of these little videos – thank you, Robin!! The Hundred is definitely my bugaboo. I’d much rather do the rollup! πŸ™‚ I have to keep my head and neck down because of a neck injury, but I find it still hurts my neck to do this. Any thoughts?

      Yes! Try folding a small towel and placing it under your head. That should feel better. I hope it helps!

    Hi robin!
    When you extend your legs in hundred does your back fall out of neutral automatically by lengthening legs?

      Not necessarily. It is possible to maintain neutral with extended legs – but I recommend keeping a flat back because you have to be pretty strong and stable to maintain neutral without strain. πŸ™‚
