The Pilates Body Program: Before & After Photos

Today I’m excited to share one woman’s experience on The Pilates Body Program. Her story is perfect to showcase because I have a feeling she is very similar to many of you who are still thinking about joining. Catherine is a healthy, active young woman. She didn’t have a ton of weight to lose but she knew that she wasn’t in her best shape and was feeling “blah” when it came to her body (I think we can all easily relate to that).

She knew she wanted to join the program when I announced it on my website but she was apprehensive because of her trouble with sticking to programs and actually following through with them long enough to get results. Again, I think we can all relate!

She emailed me and I encouraged her to join because a) this is an accountability program (if she should choose that option) so I assured her that if she committed I wouldn’t let her fail, and b) there’s a 7 day money back guarantee so she really had nothing to lose. She joined and I’m SO glad she did. Here’s her story…

Before this program I struggled with a lack of discipline when it came to exercising and eating right. I’ve always protested “diets” and had a moderately active lifestyle. I didn’t adhere to regular (and recurring) exercise of any particular kind, and I never counted my calories. I had a decent diet, mostly Trader Joe’s food, but primarily frozen or pre-cooked stuff.

Pilates before and after

Doing Pilates 4x a week was something I had NEVER done before…I have never done ANYTHING 4x a week prior to this. I was apprehensive about paying for this program given my track record but paying good money for something actually was one of the main reasons I was able to stick to it so well. Since I paid for it, I wanted to get my money’s worth and I’m not kidding, I saw results SO fast. I was really surprised at how quickly my body responded to such a simple changes.

Now that the program is complete, my body feels so  different. The biggest change is how strong and toned I am in my stomach. I also see definition in my back and arms. My pants fit better and I like what i see in the mirror–that’s HUGE (and i still have some curves which i really love).

Pilates before and afterPilates Before And After

I feel like I got to know Robin more than i did when we lived in the same town! I loved the constant and available communication she provided. I never felt like i was inconveniencing her with my questions or updates.

My favorite things about The Pilates Body Program: the price, the flexibility, the NO GUILT mentality, and the continuous feedback and encouragement. I had full access to Robin which is hard to find in any exercise program.

The number one thing that I would tell anyone who is thinking about joining is that you will see results. I’ve never seen results with anything in my life and was skeptical that my body would actually respond to this because it usually doesn’t. I started seeing my body change within a week. I have to be honest, my cravings didn’t go away quite like I thought they would. I still see bread and feel like I could eat the whole pizza, or eat the entire cake. I truly have to make a conscious choice not to (or a conscious choice to) indulge.–either way it’s conscious now and I know how to make it.

{a snapshot from week 3}

Over the past 6 weeks I’ve really developed some sturdy and long-standing habits. I have a template to go off of and if i stray from it it’s a very conscious “stray-ing”. I now know what I need to do and eat to see results and feel healthy. It’s liberating to have another option besides the one I was adhering to my whole life (eat whatever i want within reason and if I’m “active” enough that I’ll be ok). When you join the program, I encourage you to take progress pictures. I think my pictures are the biggest indicator of the change in my body.

The next round of The Pilates Body Program is scheduled to kick of on September 7th, 2014.

(Note: these are Catherine’s real photos and her real story. They have not been re-touched or photo-shopped in any way (did you know almost ALL sites do that with Before & After photos?) Please be kind as she is a fellow reader just like you. I think she looks absolutely fantastic but am even more thrilled about the way she feels in her skin. If you feel motivated by her story, please by all means, comment and show her some support!)

Oh my gosh, she looks so great! I get what she means about how great it would feel to like what you see in the mirror. This is realistic so I’m really thinking I have to do this program now. I seriously would love to look like that for summer!

I can totally relate to her. This is so inspiring! I have trouble sticking to things. I always have the best intentions and get fired up to begin a new workout plan, but then don’t stick with it long enough to see any changes. Thinking that the emails from you each week might be a good fix. Either way, Catherine – I can totally relate. keep up the godo work.

Absolutely amazing transformation. I love that you still embrace having curves! Your story has inspired me to make changes in my own routine and life. Thank you for sharing!

You look amazing, and in such a short time. I started pilates w/my daughter before her wedding to tone and firm up. We’re both thin, but she’s much curvier than me. After three months we both liked the results. But a torn miniscus has challenged her to continue pilates I the pool. We have modified many moves and are encouraged by your site to continue. Thanks for your story.

Having read this I thought it was extremely informative.
I appreciate you finding the time and energy to put this article
together. I once again find myself spending a lot of time both reading and leaving comments.
But so what, it was still worth it!
