The BEST Workout Clothes

Hi Beauties,

It’s probably no surprise that I wear a lot of workout clothes. 🙂 Over the years, and thanks to my team’s input, I’ve figured out what I like (and don’t like) when it comes to workout clothes!

I asked The Balanced Life team to send in their favorites as well, so you’ll get a chance to check out different brands AND price points!

Robin’s Favorites:

I’ve been looking for new workout clothes for some upcoming filming days and I’m liking the look of shorter tops with high-rise tights! I’ve been trying some new pieces from Alo Yoga and Athleta is always a go-to for me. Here are some recent faves I’ve added to my closet:

Becky’s Favorites:

I love the Zella leggings from Nordstrom – high quality and comfortable, but more affordable than other brands.

These Lululemon shorts are the most comfortable shorts…ever. I love running in them!

Sarah’s Favorites:

I love my Adidas Cloudfoam Casual Shoes – they are bright and very light-weight!

I also really like Old Navy’s High Rise Mesh Panel Leggings – they fit true to size, are so durable, and only $25!

I recently ordered this zip-up jacket from Lorna Jane. I love the color, and the lightweight fleece lining on the inside.

Jordin’s Favorites:

I prefer to work out in long sleeve tops, unless I’m running outside in the summer. 😉 This Athleta top is a favorite – it’s lightweight and comfortable!

My favorite workout tights are these Lorna Jane full-length ones. They do not budge and are great for all types of exercise.

Is there anything worse than constantly tugging at your socks while working out? I snagged these Adidas socks on sale last year and they’re the best! They’re no show and stay put.

Teddi’s Favorites:

This Athleta sports bra is supportive, comfortable, and affordable! The quality is also amazing, and it has stayed in very good shape.

Call me crazy, but I don’t prefer high-wasted workout pants! Mid-rise workout pants can be hard to find, but these Athleta ones sit perfectly on my hips.

I have had this Target pullover for years, and for the price, it has held up very well! It’s the perfect extra layer to wear while exercising on a colder day.

Martha’s Favorites:

These are my all-time favorite leggings from Nordstrom – the high waistband never slips/rolls down and the material is so comfortable.

I tend to warm up pretty quickly, so prefer working out in tanks. Marika tanks have cute details and unique backs. They come in a wide range of sizes and are pretty affordable. I’ve found their clothes at Fred Meyer/Kroger + Nordstrom Rack, but noticed they frequently run sales online too!

I don’t like sports bras with too many straps – it gets too complicated to put on. 😉 So I love this basic sports bra from Old Navy. It’s both breathable + supportive.

Admittedly, I’ve gotten most of my workout clothes at Kohl’s, simply because they have great sales, I can earn Kohl’s cash to use on my next purchase, and they have a great variety of the brands I love. I also regularly shop their clearance rack, where I’ve found many of my nicest workout pieces and beautiful, long cover-up sweatshirts for mere dollars. I always use a coupon paired with a sale price to make these affordable.

My favorite brand (especially for this mid-stage of life) is Gaiam. They offer quality pieces that are not too revealing, yet look sporty and cute. I love the long tops and the above-mentioned long sweatshirt/dresses that look nice over leggings.

I have also found some nice pieces at other stores. Besides my favorite Gaiam, I also have some pieces made my RBX and Tek Gear, which are nice but affordable.

I recently found Senita Athletics (https://www.senitaathletics.com/). I have several pieces, including Extra Mile leggings, Sarah and Dominate bras, and Rio 7″ shorts, as well as some t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, and a sweatshirt. The items I’ve purchased are amazing and the price point is incredible!

Love Athleta for two reasons. Amazing quality and that’s where I first found Robin. Just purchased a few of your suggested favorites. Jordin’s favorite top and Robin’s mesh tank and salutation stash pocket leggings
