I know it’s cliché, time is flying! How is it already the end of October?
You guys, it’s almost time for the holidays! How did we get here? I’m not complaining, but I am savoring this gorgeous autumn we’ve been having here in Colorado. The changing leaves and mild, sunny days have been straight out of a storybook. I miss California often but Colorado has my heart in the Fall.
Last month I started a new series here on the blog where I share my favorite products in things from the month. Basically what’s been working and what I’m loving. Big, small and everything in between.

If we’re friends on Instagram or Facebook you already saw photos of my new favorite kitchen accessory. I’m loving her more and more and I’ve barely even opened the recipe book. For someone who was hesitant to spend the money I can confidently say it’s worth it. We are constantly trying to get my daughter to eat more food and as many times as I tried, she would not drink smoothies from my old blender. Enter the Vitamix. It blends to such a smooth consistency that she will now drinks smoothies loaded with healthy nutrients and calories; almond butter, spinach, chia seeds, coconut oil, berries, etc. This is a huge success in my book.
I bought the Certified Reconditioned Next Generation and was able to save about $100 by doing so. I chose this model because it is quieter, has a more powerful motor and is shorter which helps it fit under the cabinets. I also like that the pitcher has a pour spout. If you buy reconditioned you still receive a 5 year warranty. I’m very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it in every way.
My massage therapist used this Blue Oil on my pressure points last week and I loved the way it made me feel. It’s a balancing concentrate to help reduce stress and tension. It reminds me of a very, very faint Icy Hot sedation (without the horrible burn). I keep it in my purse for those times when I feel tension creeping into my shoulders, neck and jaw.
3. Bread & Wine
My friend Shauna’s book, Bread & Wine is still a favorite of mine. I think about her stories about life around the table often and keep a copy in my kitchen for the recipes. The White Chicken Chili, Green Well Salad and Mar-A-Lago Turkey Burgers are staples in our house.
Although I’ve partnered with (and love) the blog for The Body Book, I’m just now cracking open the book. So far I’m loving the message. Full review coming soon. 🙂
These tablets are a great way to sneak a little pampering and relaxation into a busy life. I rarely have time for a calming bath so I love that I can just pop these tablets into the shower and turn a regular shower into a spa-like break in the day. The steam from the water fills the air with the aroma of essential oil. I currently have eucalyptus on hand which is energizing and refreshing.
Do you have something new that you’ve been loving lately? I’d love for you to share it in the comments. 🙂
PS – be sure to come back on Friday for the next free workout in the Pilates For Beginners series! It’s gonna be a good one. 🙂
