It often surprises people that I don’t read many health and fitness blogs. In fact, I don’t read any other fitness blogs and a tiny handful of nutrition-related blogs.
This is mostly intentional as I like to keep my inspiration here on The Balanced Life fresh and un-affected by what others are doing. It’s too easy to compare to other fitness blogs or feel like everything’s already been done, which gets in the way of my passion which is listening to YOU here on The Balanced Life and serving THIS community in a unique way. I don’t want to be influenced by what others are doing because it could easily take me away from my mission in life – to inspire women to take a balanced, guilt-free approach to health and fitness.
I do, however, read other lifestyle blogs that inspire me and encourage me on a regular basis. So I wanted to share those with you in case you’re looking for fresh inspiration. 🙂

I love her simple, straight-forward style and how each of her posts are digestible yet rich.
I love her style and I love the way her personality shines through in her writing. She cracks me up and I want to be her best friend, just like everyone else who reads her blog.
He is a guru when it comes to marketing and business. His posts are short, simple and to the point. They always make me think.
I love her style and her balanced approach to designing a beautiful life. She manages to inspire without sacrificing authenticity and depth. You can read an interview I did with her here.
