30-Day Pilates Body Challenge: Day #11 (Yoga with Sarah Beth)

Hi Beauties!

I’m so excited to introduce you to our next guest instructor today.

Meet Sarah Beth.

Sarah Beth is a close friend of mine. She is a phenomenal yoga instructor and is incredibly popular on YouTube. She’s currently pregnant with her first child…I can’t wait to meet her little yoga baby!

Here’s a little more about  Sarah Beth…

Sarah Beth is a YouTuber and yoga teacher in the Denver area. When she’s not nesting for her first baby (due this spring!) she’s teaching yoga online to 100,000 women all over the world through her YouTube channel. She creates fresh weekly yoga videos for all levels, simple teachings on meditation and mindfulness, and encourages viewers to “take what works for you, forget the rest.” Sarah Beth’s style of teaching is influenced by daily practice, functional movement and flow. Give her Free Flow a try today to challenge both body AND mind.

Sarah Beth is leading us through a gentle “free flow” yoga routine. This will be a perfect way to wrap up the week and head into the weekend.

If you’re new to yoga or it’s not your thing, that’s okay! I encourage you to just give it a try.

In “free flow” yoga she’ll be leaving space in the middle of the routine to do what feels right to you. You can either continue with her sequence (as she’ll explain in the video) OR if yoga isn’t your thing then you can use this time to do Pilates. Listen to your body, do what feels good and use this time in your own way.

If you have 2 minutes you may want to watch this quick How to “Free Flow” in Yoga video.

Remember, I’m providing complementary workouts in this challenge to encourage you to take what you learn about your body in Pilates (alignment, core engagement, breath) and apply it to other activities.

Enjoy!

  1. Enjoyed today’s workout. Have not done much yoga so this was new to me but really liked it. Thank you for challenging me with something new!

  2. ChaChanna Simpson

I absolutely LOVED this workout. I think I will do this everyday. I have been doing a yoga pose after the Pilates challenge but I might just switch or add this one. It felt so good to do. I never knew what free flow was and now, thanks to you Robyn, I know. I am amazed at how good I feel now. Thank you so much for doing this challenge.

  3. 1joufilledjourney

Loved it! It was definetly something new for me but I’ve got to say I felt super cool and strong in the warrior poses. Quick question: in warrior 2 do our hips open to the side or stay squared off to the front?

  4. Love this! I’m a big fan of Sarah Beth Yoga and usually do her Daily Yoga routines in addition to pilates. (I actually heard about the 30 Day Pilates Challenge from her!) You girls are very motivating – thanks!

  5. I have been learning yoga over the last couple of years using “Yoga for Wimps” and Holy Yoga. I really enjoyed the simplicity of today’s flow, because I am challenged in the creative department!
Thanks for sharing other forms of fitness with us, Robin Long!

  6. What a great start to the day! Thank you to Sara Beth for sharing your 30 day program on Facebook before the month started. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying your workouts, Robin. Thank you for the time you’ve taken to create them. What a gift!

Thank you for introducing us to new forms of exercise and new instructors that take us out of our comfort zone! Whether its physically or mentally a challenge, it’s good for us.

  8. For some reason yoga has always intimidated me. This was a great way to show that it doesn’t have to be intimidating. I will definitely be checking out more of Sara Beth’s videos now. I think this could be a great compliment to my Pilates workouts. Thanks for including this Robin!

  9. Loved free flow yoga this is my first time doing it…thank you I see myself doing more of your videos!!!!! SUBSCRIBED!!?

  10. Caught up and I did try it but I didn’t finish the whole thing..I had a hard time following along for some reason ?

  11. The flow the easy of the movements and the most important the slow down in my breath is important is gently build strength and stamina feel so good at the end I want more was great. Thank you Sarah Beth and Robin for bringing some Yoga I will subscribe.

  12. Finished day 11 today… Enjoyed the workout. The free flow was a good stretch and warm up to lead me into my other yoga workout for today 🙂

  13. I had such a busy week that I wasn’t able to do any of the one for the week except for Monday. Today I did legs and yoga, I am glad I did, it was a nice way to get some calm in a crazy week. I really liked it!

  14. Now I finally get what flow is. Every morning I do 5 sun salutations when I get up, but this morning I added breath and flow, and it was much more intuitive and enjoyable.

I am yoga lover that’s why try to do yoga on daily basis but because of the working schedule, I am not able to do so regularly. Thanks for this video, I have learned many new ways to do yoga and surely will going to try on this weekend. I never give as such importance to breathing but now realized its value. #Loveit

  16. It felt so relaxing, and balancing, and also able to increase my Focus.

Thank you so much for sharing such informative post.
